So many people are realizing the wonders of the desert. It's so much more than spectacular mountain views and 330 days of sunshine a year!

Welcome to Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley…truly an exciting place to be! The growth and energy this spectacular desert community is experiencing is attracting adventurous and diverse people of all ages from all over the country. Those who seek quality of life are arriving and determined to contribute to continually make the valley an even better place to live, work, and play!

Palm Springs , the most talked about city of the valley, cherishes and embraces its unique history as the playground of the stars, and of its unique mid century modern architecture. Historically more of an adult community, it was an oasis where people could let their hair down and be a little naughty…and that was ok! Well, it is still ok…in fact visitors continue to visit from all over the world to experience our carefree lifestyle. Palm Springs boasts one of the largest gay population per capita of anywhere in the country. The Chamber of Commerce estimated in October of 2003 that at least 57% of all households in Palm Springs are gay households. The Coachella Valley's local paper, The Desert Sun, reports that there are more gay households per capita in Palm Springs than there are in San Francisco, West Hollywood, or Los Angeles! It is evident that the gay population is a driving force in the economy, and will continue to be well into the future. The gay population is also spilling into its close neighborhood communities of Cathedral City and Rancho Mirage.

Cathedral City , the close neighbor of Palm Springs, has also experienced recent growth over the past few years. The city is known for providing more affordable housing to year round residents in the Valley, but also accommodates those seeking homes in upscale gated communities. Many people enjoy the convenient valley location of Cathedral City and its eclectic mix of homes.

Rancho Mirage first became a resort destination in the 1940s. Well known for its gorgeous golf clubs, magnificent homes, and its “restaurant row”.Many people also choose Rancho Mirage for its central valley location and its healthy economy.

Palm Desert is the cultural, recreational, dining, retail and shopping force of the Coachella Valley. The construction of The University of California, Riverside, is underway and expected to have a dramatic impact on the quality of life not only for Palm Desert, but for the entire Coachella Valley.
